Farming for green stuff is a crapshoot; it's usually faster to go play through the game and do whatever you normally do, then buy the green when you have the money. Greens aren't that expensive.

Yeah, farming greens is something that really takes a lot of time. You should avoid it unless you really want to grind for a while.
